This will not be an exhaustive reading of The Donald’s birth chart. I simply want to look at his Sun and Moon in general, and then dive into what a big fat Neptune square might do/is doing to that. Cheers!
Ah, Neptune. Such a beautiful planet. Look how perfectly spherical it is. Look at that glowing blue-ish purple swirling so nice. I just love it.
Transit Neptune will seriously fuck you up. I know astrologers like to gloss over it and I have made that mistake before. Neptune’s effects are not usually actual events, they’re mostly internal, so who wants to pay someone to tell them they’re going to get closer to god? Most people want to know about Saturn or Pluto. Or, to put it a better way: most people seek out an astrologer because of Saturn or Pluto. But, Neptune is just as powerful.
And, in Pisces, Neptune is like an underwater landmine, in the dark. Okay, maybe it’s more like a neutron bomb, I don’t know. I don’t know war.
It’s strong in Pisces. And it’s impacting Donald Trump’s chart in a major way. Read this post to learn more about Neptune in its home sign.
Neptune is so strong because it warps your mind. It warps your ability to be objective. It warps your ability to discern truth from feelings. Can it be used for good? Of course, every single planet in any sign can be used constructively. Neptune blurs the lines between everything it touches. It can be great for getting to your own personal truth, eventually. But with a hard aspect, you think you believe something only to realize (a year later) that you were merely holding onto another person’s beliefs, as though you had become enmeshed for a time. It’s real.
That shit will wreck you and there is little you can do about it except to know it’s happening and try your best to decipher the code. Making any crazy decisions should be kept at a minimum as well.
Let’s talk about Trump’s Chart
Donald Trump was born on a lunar eclipse. He has the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius in nearly partile opposition, with the nodes. He has a very fated life. Probably often finds himself thrust into things without being super prepared (cough, cough). He works around it, relying on his intuition and gut sense. He makes it up as he goes.
The Sun represents our conscious selves. It’s the path we are on, the path of our ego. It unfolds during the course of our lives. It’s the fundamental core of which everything else in the chart revolves around. It’s the metaphysical road we are each walking on. Sure, we can be a total bitch or we can be riding a bicycle, but we are still on that road.
The Moon represents our subconscious selves. It’s how we innately respond to things. It’s our habits, our comforts, our feelings. It’s how we process external stimuli before we realize we processed it. We can nurture it, but it’s hard to control.
The Neptune Square
When Neptune aspects any of your personal planets, be prepared for things to slip out of your control. You have to kind of “let go and let God,” if that’s a popular phrase. I’m sure there’s something like it.
Things in your life don’t usually go as planned when Neptune comes around. There’s an element of sacrifice, whether you actually are called upon to help another human being or a group of human beings, or the sacrifice is more subversive. Either way, the potential for ego-bruising is high.
With Neptune, a keyword is compassion. It’s a keyword for a reason. In order to successfully navigate Neptunian waters, you need to exercise a shit ton of compassion, both for yourself and for others. You need to let go of what you thought was your life for the duration of the aspect. It doesn’t always have to be so serious but it can be. You have to let go of the illusion of control. Many people, however, forgo compassion and get angry that things didn’t go their way. They may lash out.
Donald Trump is not exactly known for his compassion. This is how Neptune is going to fuck him. Unless he totally surprises me (and most people) and starts to show that he cares about others, deciding to do the right thing… Otherwise, Neptune will trip him up here for sure.
Neptune also makes you prone to illusions. This is the part that really frightens me about this aspect happening for him during this critical time in history.
Trump has his natal Mercury in a square with Neptune. He is naturally prone to the illusions of Neptune. He probably has a lot of pain surrounding this aspect in his chart. He fears his inferiority and flexes his ego. It’s supposed to work the other way around – Neptune is supposed to soften us, but it can often have the opposite effect. The ego is strong.
He is already basically leading a cult of followers. His supporters love him no matter what he says or does. They believe everything he says. Evangelicals love him, seemingly no matter what. They think he’s a savior. It doesn’t matter that he’s been divorced or degrades people or lies almost compulsively or cheats the system. He’s already in this strange feedback loop with Fox News and other conservative, right-wing media. It’s all very bizarre, to me anyway.
For someone who is already in some weird “alternative-facts” type reality, transit Neptune squaring his Sun & Moon will only pump this up and exaggerate everything. Trump says some wild things and they get repeated, turned into memes. He also repeats some wild things, and the cycle feeds itself. What will he believe next? Seriously, what wild thing will he truly believe and take action on next?
Like it or not, Donald Trump is one of the most powerful people in the world right now. Love him or hate him, you should want him to do well. Not to do well in the sense of making himself richer and getting away with shit, but to do well in the sense of really helping change the world for the better. We don’t want him to believe some far-out shit and make a mistake that devastates the entire planet. Part of me already thinks he’s done just that in so many ways but I’m trying to hope for the better. I want him to make the world a better place but it’s not looking great right now.
And, shit has consequences.
Let’s just say I am appreciating the little things in life more and more.
Add Mars to the Square
Mars in Pisces will join Neptune on June 11-14 and totally light things up for the Donald, activating the Neptune square big time. Energy will pour into him and it might be chaotic. I know he doesn’t like to wear a mask but he should. Neptune makes us porous, more sensitive to the energies outside ourselves. We are physically and psychically more vulnerable, 100%. Not only will he be more vulnerable to the beliefs and words of others, but he will be more vulnerable to viruses, too. Fixed sign ascendents are typically strong, though. But, still.
Transit Pluto – For Funzies!
I’d also like to point out that transit Pluto is currently trine Trump’s midheaven. If ever there was a time that he could change and actually do the right thing, rather than devolve into a bitter, secretive, disgustingly weak man hungry for more power, then now would really be a good time.
Thanks, Universe. In advance (wink, wink).
(BIG FUCKING WINK)
Like this post? Check out the one I wrote about David Wilcock and Neptune.
I would agree with your analysis of Trump and Neptune. Neptune is everywhere, and the Mars-Neptune conjunction is exact in his solar return chart for 2020, and of course square his Sun. You’re right to highlight the threat of COVID-19, whether to Trump or to his country. But perhaps they are the same? I can’t help thinking that when you look at the chart of Donald Trump you are also looking at the chart of America. He’s the leader that America chose, and the destiny of the nation and its leader are interwoven with each other.
Thank you, and you are very correct – what happens to Trump while he’s in office has big-time effects in the USA/world, as well as what happens in the USA majorly impacts his life/destiny. They are totally, perhaps frighteningly, interwoven. Saturn will retrograde all the way back to oppose his Venus/Saturn later this year as well. Critical times! If he does get re-elected, Pluto will oppose his Venus/Saturn and that could seriously be terrible… unless, he decides to change his tune. Thanks for the feedback!
